Hi Support Group member,

Dinner Out -- Our support group's monthly Dinner Out will be Wednesday June 25, 6:00 pm, at Oriental Gardens, 1528 Kingwood Drive, Kingwood, TX 77339. This is for present and former caregivers, and for those with dementia as well (as long as they can enjoy the social time with you). It's not a support group but a time to socialize and get to know one another. I need to hear from you by Monday June 23 if you do plan to attend. 

Kingwood Memory Cafe -- meets again Tuesday July 1st, 5:30-7:30 pm, at Christ the King Episcopal Church, 19330 Pinehurst Trail Dr, Atascocita, TX 77346 (in the parish hall building behind the main church). This is a social time for the entire family of those with early stages of dementia or memory loss. In July we will celebrate July 4th early and play Wheel of Fortune (our version). Lake Houston Alzheimer's/Dementia Caregiver Support Group (Barbara's group) -- meets Monday July 14, 7:00-8:30 pm at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, 2929 Woodland Hills Drive, Kingwood, TX 77339. Pre-registration is required. Keep in mind that this is the latest a second Monday night can be, so you don't need to register now. There's plenty of time. But sometimes when it's on the 14th people show up the Monday before. So this is just a heads up.

Kingwood Caregiver Conference -- Saturday September 6, 8:30 am - 1:00 pm at Christ the King Lutheran Church on West Lake Houston Parkway in Kingwood. Free workshops about topics critical to caregivers plus exhibitors from various agencies and local resource companies. Brochure will be available soon with all the details. I will be there to represent Kingwood Memory Cafe and our support group.
